Al-Shahat missed the second goal for Al-Ahly in the 27th minute, after a distinguished pass from Ali Maaloul, to be hit by Al-Shahat powerfully over the crossbar.

Swiss coach Marcel Koller, coach of Al-Ahly club, announced the formation of his team for the match today, Friday, against Esperance de Tunis, in the second leg of the African Champions League semi-finals.
The formation was as follows:
Goalkeeper: Ali Lotfi.
Defense line: Ali Maaloul, Muhammad Abdel Moneim, Yasser Ibrahim, Muhammad Hani.
Midfield: Elio Diang, Hamdi Fathi, Marawan Attia.
Offensive line: Hussein Al-Shahat, Mahmoud Kahraba, Percy Tao.

On the other hand, Anis Al-Busaidi, the interim coach of the Tunisian Esperance team, revealed the formation of his team to face Al-Ahly.
The formation was as follows:

Defense line: Muhammad bin Ali – Muhammad Amin bin Hamida – Muhammad Amin Togay – Yassin Miriah.
Midfield: Fossini Coulibaly – Mohamed Ali Bin Ramadan – Ghaith El Wahhabi.
