The King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khaifa, affirmed that “today’s summit meeting is held to renew the determination to continue the march of joint Arab action, with free will and self-determination, and in a spirit of sincere collective solidarity to establish stability, prosperity and harmony, which the peoples of the region must enjoy.”
He said in his speech before the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of the summit, the 32nd regular session hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah, and was reported by the Saudi “SPA” agency: “The way to achieve this is the approach of a just and comprehensive peace, which is an approach that has no alternative to addressing all outstanding issues to ensure Security, stability and vital interests for the prosperity of the countries of the region without exception.
He added, “We very much welcome the serious Arab endeavors, in which we find promising signs to crystallize a renewed and balanced regional order, represented by the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, the continuation of the humanitarian truce in Yemen, the serious efforts to resolve its crisis, and the praiseworthy return of sister Syria to the Great House of Arabs.” “.
He stressed “the necessity of stopping armed clashes in Sudan, restoring its security and stability and preserving its legitimate rights, along with the rights of sister Egypt in the waters of the Nile, and working to complete the peace process to reach a just solution to the Palestinian issue, which is the two-state solution in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative, in a way that guarantees the right of the brotherly Palestinian people to establishing an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He said: “Our Arab nation, with its ancient history, religious, human and civilizational values, its human resources, creative competencies, distinguished strategic location and diverse natural resources, is capable of advancing and progressing to keep pace with the movement of the times by promoting Arab integration and renewing its strategic partnerships with allied and friendly countries based on preserving interests.” And with a consensual vision and more effective policies to confront terrorism, stop wars and the threats of weapons of mass destruction, and reach a stable region in which the values of human coexistence and religious and civilizational rapprochement thrive in its surroundings.
He expressed “sincere wishes for the success of the joint efforts to achieve peace between Russia and Ukraine, for the return of security and peace to the peoples of the two countries and neighboring countries, and for the world to recover its economic and environmental health, which was ravaged by the war machine.” He said: “We hope that the work of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention will be successful Regarding climate change, the “Twenty-eight Cup” will be held in the United Arab Emirates at the end of this year, God willing.
