Krafton India has officially announced the return of popular mobile game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and as per the announcement, the game will soon be available for download in India.

“We would like to express our deep appreciation to the Indian authorities for allowing us to restart BattleGrounds Mobile India (BGMI) operations,” the company said. This is according to a post on Instagram, announcing the return of the game.

She added, “We are excited to announce that BattleGrounds Mobile India (BGMI) will be available for download soon, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to our platform.”

Sources revealed to the Indian news site News18, that the ban on Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is set to be lifted for three months, with the app still under scrutiny. It is in compliance with the rules of India.

And if any negative activities are detected, the app may be banned again. The game is expected to return with changes such as time limits and restrictions on hours of play, as well as the removal of blood from the game.

Crafton didn’t reveal if there will be any restrictions when restarting BGMI, however, the company said its top priority is ensuring the safety and enjoyment of players. It believes in promoting responsible gaming to cultivate a healthier gaming culture where gamers can have fun while taking care of their overall well-being.

On July 28, 2022, the Indian government banned BGMI due to concerns about privacy and security. As a result, the game was removed from both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. This ban was imposed under Section 69a of the Information Technology Act.
