Four short feature films will be screened at the Hanager Cinema at the Egyptian Opera House, at 6:00 pm today, Saturday, within the framework of the activities of the Independent Cinema Club, which is held by the National Cinema Center, headed by editor Manar Hosni.

The list of films shown today includes “King of the Night” by Ahmed Khaled, “Feryal Coffee” by Muhannad Al-Kashef, “Third Eye” by Dina Rifai, and “The Party I Don’t Want to Go to” by Nada Khaled.

A symposium will be held after the screening of the films, moderated by film critic Ahmed El Nabawy, to discuss the films with their makers and the audience..

It is noteworthy that the movie “Faryal Coffee” was written by Tamer Abd Rab Al-Nabi, starring Heba Abdel-Ghani, Ahmed Mustafa and Akmal El-Maadawy, and the design of Reem El-Adl’s clothes, and soundtracks by Ahmed El-Sawy..

The film previously won the Jury Prize at the Lebanese Film and Television Festival, and Heba Abdel Ghani won the Jury Prize at the Alexandria Short Film Festival.

The idea of ​​”Feryal’s Coffee” revolves around a fleeting human encounter between a young musician and a patient in a psychiatric hospital.

Cinema clubs set up by the National Cinema Center are supervised by film critic Amani Samir.

It is noteworthy that the Independent Cinema Club in Cairo is held by the National Cinema Center in cooperation with the Cultural Development Fund Sector, headed by Dr. Hani Abu Al-Hassan, on the second Saturday of every month, and is supervised technically by film critic Ahmed Aser.
