The Deeratna program, which is shown on the Saudi channel, published a report on the “Mountains of Oppression” in Al-Raith Governorate in Jizan, which is an important tourist destination for visitors to the Kingdom, and for lovers of adventure and fun.

The report stated that the “Al-Qahr Mountains” are located 230 km northeast of Jazan region, specifically in Al-Raith governorate, with symmetrical conical shapes, unique rock formations, sharp fractures, high and impregnable slopes, deep canyons, and narrow valleys.

The report stated that the “Mountains of Oppression” is considered one of the most beautiful tourist destinations and sites in the Kingdom, due to its captivating aesthetic view, with the inclusion of villages whose residents are accustomed to living in this rugged terrain and nature. its topography.

The report indicated that these mountains are still known until now as Mount Zahwan, and they are bordered to the east by a group of mountains and valleys that separate them from the Al-Farsha governorate of the Asir region, and to the west by Wadi Bish and Jabal Al-Qahra, and to the north they are bordered by Wadi Bish with its tributaries, while from the south they end at Montenegro region.

The report indicated that the vegetation cover in this region varies in its valleys, so that it includes rare trees, the most prominent of which are “Shutb trees” that resemble palm trees, in addition to “juniper trees” and types of conifers. It also contains archaeological inscriptions and historical life evidence dating back thousands of years. With footprints and engravings next to skeletons and bodies wrapped in natural skins, they were preserved in rooms with rocks more than three thousand years old.
