The Civil Protection Forces in Minya managed to control a massive fire that broke out in an electrical transformer, due to a diamond, in the village of Sawada, east of the Nile, in the center of Minya, and as a result, power was cut off from the entire village.
The security services in Minya Governorate received a notification from the emergency operations room, that an electrical transformer “feeder” caught fire in the village of Sawada, which is affiliated with the local unit of Nazlet Hussein, east of the Nile, in the center of Minya.
With the transfer of the security services and civil protection forces and the conduct of preliminary investigations, they reported that the fire broke out due to an electrical short circuit, which resulted in the complete burning of the transformer, and as a result, the power cut in the village.
The Civil Protection put out the fire and prevented it from spreading to neighboring houses, and the lighting department of the local unit of the center and city of Minya was notified, to take the necessary measures, and to change the transformer.
Today, Minya Governorate also witnessed a massive fire in a livestock barn in the village of Nasiriyah, affiliated to the local unit in Bani Haram, west of Dermoas Center, due to a lit cigarette butt, which resulted in the death of 4 cattle and two animals, and the Civil Protection Forces were able to control and extinguish it, and the laboratory was notified.
