Within the framework of the field tours to follow up on the implementation of the national project for the development of the spinning and weaving industry, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, today, Saturday, inspected the development project in the Misr Spinning, Weaving and Dyers Al-Bayda Company complex in Kafr El-Dawwar, Beheira Governorate, and reviewed the master plan for managing the assets of Mahmoudia companies. Dr. Esmat reviewed the stages of implementation of the industrial castle project at the Al-Bayda site, which includes 6 integrated factories for the spinning and weaving industry on an area of 337 thousand square meters, as well as the timings of completion of the works and the arrival times of the new machines, and ensuring the timing schedules to prevent any storage of equipment and that the shipment be compatible with Direct installation dates, explaining the implementation stages of the spinning factory on an area of 36,250 square meters with 88,128 yarns and a production capacity of 9,513 tons per year, and the textile factory on an area of 20,900 square meters, which includes factories 1 and 2 textile preparations with 384 weaving looms, in addition to the dyeing, bleaching, printing and processing factory on an area 53,000 square meters with a production capacity of 54 million meters annually, and a detailing factory on an area of 1,500 square meters with a production capacity of 5.7 million pieces annually, with a total investment volume of more than 3 billion pounds in construction, in addition to 115 million euros, the value of new machines.
Dr. Mahmoud Esmat stressed the need to pay attention to labor training and rehabilitation programs and to cooperate in this with the training center of Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in El-Mahalla El-Kubra, referring to the number of courses that took place, training programs, an inventory of existing competencies, and programs to raise workers’ awareness of the importance of the giant project for the development of industry, especially the industrial castle in Kafr El-Dawar. And the necessity of adhering to the deadlines set for finishing the works in preparation for the trial operation, explaining that the map of the opening of the new factories included in the project to develop the spinning and weaving industry will start from the “Ghazal 4” factory in Mahalla al-Kubra at the end of next June, and then the rest of the openings will follow.
Dr. Esmat directed to expedite the completion of the marketing plan, and the need for the sales policy to depend on cooperation with industry partners from the private sector, providing them with the company’s products and giving them the opportunity to exploit the additional capacities, especially in the equipment and dyeing factories, and others, pointing to the need for integration to achieve the goal of this. Huge investments, increasing exports, reducing imports, and providing industry requirements for private companies.
Dr. Esmat inspected the construction works and the new factories, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Mustafa, Executive Managing Director of the Holding Company for Cotton, Spinning and Weaving and the leaders of the holding company, and Eng. Supplies, project contractors and consultants.
