Southampton club was officially relegated from the English Premier League, two rounds before the end of the 2022-2023 season.
Southampton was unable to hold out in the English Premier League competitions, after it settled for collecting 24 points from 36 matches played this season, to be relegated to the second division, for the first time since 2012.

Of course, none of Southampton’s first-team football stars will be happy with relegation from the Premier League, but for some players glory could open its doors, this summer.
It is expected that Southampton will not be stubborn in the summer transfer market 2023, when one of its stars will receive offers from Premier League clubs.
