The Suez University team, represented by students from the Faculty of Engineering, Computers and Information, was able to achieve first place in the DEBI Robotics Challenge competition, organized by the Digital Egypt Builders Initiative, sponsored by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Huawei International.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. El-Sayed El-Sharkawy, President of the University, sent a telegram through the Media Center page to his students, congratulating them on this great achievement that honored Suez University, wishing them continued success, advancement and progress. His Excellency made it clear that this is not the first time that university students have been able to achieve such achievements, which stems from the belief in the importance of encouraging students to participate in such events that undoubtedly contribute to discovering talents and gaining experiences.
Prof. Ashraf Henegel, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, saluted the winners, explaining that the team had qualified among the best 16 teams after passing the first and second qualifiers in which 48 teams from various Egyptian universities participated, then the team continued its competition until it was able to achieve first place in this competition. The grand competition, which made all the university employees happy, especially since the team consisted of students from the faculties of Engineering and Computers and Information at the university.

It is worth noting that the competition of the Digital Egypt Builders initiative mainly targets students of the faculties of engineering, computers and information, and their equivalents, as well as recent graduates from these disciplines with a maximum of five years.
