Al-Ettifaq snatched three valuable points, after defeating its guest Al-Shabab 1-0, scored by Swedish Robin Quaison in the 16th minute of the match that took place on Sunday, at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, for the 26th round of the Saudi Roshen League.
With this loss, Al-Shabab failed to break the agreement knot when it received it in Dammam, as the owner of the land won three matches and tied in two matches, in the last five seasons.
Al-Ettifaq rose to eighth place with 33 points, while Al-Shabab remained third with 53 points.
The first half did not live up to the hoped-for level, and Al-Ettifaq almost snatched an early goal had it not been for the Swedish Robin Kwaison’s header that crossed the crossbar (5). In the second half, the youth rushed to attack, but it did not make any opportunity and did not threaten its host’s goal except with a direct free kick.
