Actress Dina El-Sherbiny said that she was afflicted with a state of fear and terror while watching her new movie “Day 13”, explaining that “this condition did not exist at the time of filming, but the visual and sound effects contributed to increasing the dose of terror in the events, and this is what the audience felt.”
She expressed her happiness with the reactions, as well as the volume of revenues achieved by the work during the Eid al-Fitr film season, which exceeded 24 million pounds ($777,000), saying, “Although I was unable to follow the echoes achieved by the work due to the death of my father a few weeks ago, I was I contact the producer, and he tells me all about it.”
During her interview with Al-Sharq, she confirmed that “the success of the film was expected from the beginning, as it carries a new story and form for Arab cinema.”
The movie “Day 13” starring Ahmed Dawoud, Sherif Mounir, Ahmed Zaher, Jumana Murad, Mahmoud Abdel-Moghni and Mohamed Tharwat, and the work was written and directed by Wael Abdullah.
The events revolve around “Ezz El-Din”, who returns from abroad to his family’s palace for the purpose of selling it, to discover secrets that were not taken into account, in an atmosphere of excitement and suspense, and it is considered the first 3D movie in Egyptian cinema.

Dina El-Sherbiny attributed the reasons for her enthusiasm to participate in “Day 13” to the fact that it belongs to horror, excitement and suspense, which is her favorite cinematic color, despite her great fear of watching horror films, in addition to presenting it in 3D technology, to be considered the first film in the Arab world to be shown. This technology, she said.
She added, “My enthusiasm for the film doubled after reading the script, in addition to the fact that Wael Abdullah is the author, director and producer of the work, which ensures the availability of the necessary capabilities that guarantee the project’s exit at a distinguished level, which has already been achieved.”
And revealed the scenes of preparing for the role, as she was keen to study the character and its dimensions well, in addition to the discussion sessions that she gathered with producer Wael Abdullah, to agree on the final form in which the character will come out, and this was followed by extensive rehearsals before the start of filming.
She pointed out that she faced several difficulties during the filming, explaining that “filming 3D films is very different from ordinary films, and it requires a long number of hours, as I have made a very great effort, in a way that has never happened before.”
And she expressed her happiness with the atmosphere of filming and the scenes that were mostly fun, in addition to repeating her cooperation for the fifth time with Ahmed Dawoud, after the movie “Hepta”, and the series “Grand Hotel”, “The Game of Oblivion”, and “Zay Al Shams”, as she sees that there is “artistic chemistry”. They bring them together, in addition to being on a great deal of understanding within the work.

Dina El-Sherbiny drew attention to her fear of the hidden worlds that the events of the film deal with, although she considers herself a strong and bold personality in reality, saying: “Mystery raises my fears, and despite that I love presenting this type of work, especially since the audience also tends to it and it achieves great success in Theaters”.
She said, “Day 13” is not her first experience in horror, but she previously presented the series (The Visit), continuing, “During filming this series in Lebanon, mysterious things were happening behind the scenes, and we heard terrifying voices of unknown origin many times, and it was We feel so terrified.”

Dina El-Sherbiny touched on the series “The Complete Number”, in which she participated in the last Ramadan drama season, expressing her happiness with the success that the work achieved throughout its presentation, and the audience’s interaction with the events.
And she considered, “The series is a completely new experience for me in all its details, and I also benefited a lot from the story that the work dealt with.”
She revealed her new artwork, as she awaits the screening of her new movie “Shaqo”, which brings her together with the trio Amr Youssef, Mohamed Mamdouh and Amina Khalil, through which she embodies the character of a nurse, describing this work, saying: “exciting and its events are unconventional.”
And she indicated that she had contracted a new movie recently, and it is scheduled to start filming during the next few period, saying: “I choose my works very carefully, and I take a long time to select the offers I receive.”
