Al-Ayyam newspaper – The youth team delegation arrives in Doha

Hamid Shaibani, Secretary-General of the Yemeni General Football Association, yesterday afternoon, the national team delegation for juniors at Doha Airport, where the team is setting up its external camp within the framework of the team’s preparations for the Asian Finals, which will be held in Thailand during the period from June 15 to July 2, 2023 AD, within the first group that includes Teams: (Yemen, Thailand, Malaysia and Laos).

The mission left yesterday morning, the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to Doha to set up an external camp that will last 9 days, as part of the national team’s preparations for the Asian finals. The national team will play an international friendly match against the Saudi national team, which is preparing for the finals in Group C on May 26, and on June 2, the national team will leave for Vietnam, to set up a final external camp during which it will play another international test match against the Vietnamese national team on June 10, which is preparing for the finals within The fourth group before heading to Thailand on June 12.

The team concluded the Cairo camp, which lasted for two weeks, led by the technical director of the team, Captain Muhammad Hassan Al-Badani, his assistant Captain Haitham Al-Asbahi, and the goalkeeper coach of the team, Captain Muhammad Nejad, under the supervision of the Czech coach Scoop and his assistants: the fitness coach and the guards coach, where the team played two friendly matches in the camp. The first match was against the youth and youth team of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club, which ended in a positive draw 2-2.. While the second match was against the Egyptian team Zed, it ended with the victory of the Egyptian team with a single goal.

The national team also conducted its daily training on the stadium of Manial Shiha Resort (Hossam Ashour), which included a number of aspects focused on the physical, technical and tactical aspects.
