The English club Liverpool, the professional within its ranks, the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, announced today, Wednesday, the departure of the quartet of the team, Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, at the end of the current season, after the expiration of their contracts with the club.

A Liverpool statement said: “Liverpool can confirm that Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will all leave the club upon the expiration of their contracts this summer.”

The quartet will begin each new chapter in their career after the 2022-23 season concludes, having helped the Reds raise some of the game’s biggest trophies during their spells at Anfield.

And he continued: “The four played their part in Jürgen Klopp’s team winning the Champions League, the European Super Cup, and the Club World Cup in 2019, before they became the first Liverpool team to win the league title for 30 years, as they scored 99 points in the 2019-20 season.”

And with the visit to Aston Villa on Saturday being the Reds’ last home game of the season, special thanks will be given to the quartet at Anfield, with more tributes across the club’s digital platforms after the end of the season as we wish Roberto, Naby, James, Alex and their families the best for the future. The four players will leave with our gratitude and appreciation for the contribution they made.”
