The Israeli media quoted well-informed officials as saying that the security services in Israel believe that the “required achievements” have been achieved in the ongoing operation against the Gaza Strip, and that “calm will be met with calm.”

And she was The Israeli radio had reported earlier that Tel Aviv had informed Egypt to stop the truce talks with the Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip, while the Palestinian resistance fired a number of rockets from the south and north of the Strip at several targets, including occupied Jerusalem.

The Islamic Jihad movement told Al-Jazeera that the bombing of occupied Jerusalem is “an important message for everyone to understand, as what is happening is not isolated from Gaza.”

Videos posted on social media showed scenes documenting the escape of a number of ultra-Orthodox settlers, as warning sirens sounded in Jerusalem.

Al-Jazeera correspondent said that the Palestinian resistance fired a number of rockets from the south of the Gaza Strip and two long-range missiles from the north of the Strip.

The reporter confirmed that the warning sirens sounded in Nir Oz and Ein Hashlosha in the south of the Gaza Strip, in the settlement of Beitar Illit and the Gush Etzion bloc near Bethlehem, and in the mountains of West Jerusalem, indicating that a shell landed in one of the Gush Etzion settlements.

On the other hand, the Israeli occupation warplanes bombed a house in Al-Nasr neighborhood in Gaza City. The Islamic Jihad movement said that the prominent leader of its military wing (Saraya al-Quds), Iyad al-Hassani, was killed in the bombing.

Meanwhile, a commander in the Joint Room of the Resistance told Al-Jazeera that the elements of the resistance managed the battle ably and thwarted the enemy’s plan to single out the Al-Quds Brigades (the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement).

The commander added that the factions of the room were able to ram the depth of the entity and reversed the results of the battle, and that they introduced the tactic of attrition, silent control, and the surprise of the occupation during the battle.

He noted that the joint room of the resistance controls the pace of the battle and determines the time and place of the response decisively.

And the Al-Jazeera correspondent had reported earlier that new Israeli raids targeted a site of the Palestinian resistance west of the Nusseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, and agricultural lands in Deir al-Balah and Beit Hanoun.

For his part, the spokesman for the Al-Quds Brigades (the military arm of the Islamic Jihad Movement) affirmed the resistance’s readiness to expand the “circle of fire” no matter how long the battle is and whatever the price. He added – in a recorded speech – that the march of the resistance will not stop with any assassination operation whatsoever.
