The percentage of young people seeking treatment for drug addiction in the Kingdom has increased to more than 60%, according to Al-Arabiya TV.
This statistic reflects the solidarity and success of the efforts of the concerned authorities in the Kingdom in confronting this dangerous scourge that threatens the security and future of the country, and the future of the Kingdom’s youth.
Continuous efforts to confront smugglers
This statistic comes in light of the continuous efforts of various departments and agencies in the Kingdom to confront drug dealers and smugglers firmly, with the launch of the security campaign to combat drugs, and to educate young people and families about the danger of this scourge that threatens society.
Anti-drug campaign
And Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, had stated earlier that the anti-drug security campaign, which comes with the support, directives and leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, is achieving, praise be to God, tangible results, indicating that it is still in its infancy. And that the strong blows to confront drug dealers and smugglers are continuing.
Security campaign continues firmly
The Minister of Interior added that this campaign will remain firm and will not leave room for smugglers or promoters to target the Kingdom’s youth or tamper with security in any way.
Report smuggling and promotion
In a related context, the security authorities called on the authorities to report all information available to citizens and residents about any activities related to drug smuggling or promotion, by calling the numbers (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province and (999) in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions, and the number Reports of the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (995), via e-mail [email protected], and all reports will be dealt with in strict confidentiality.
