Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah, stressed the need to resolve the issue of the trainees of the North Oil Company in Kirkuk Governorate and treat them fairly, while calling for the establishment of their rights in accordance with Cabinet Resolution (192) for the year 2021 for daily wages, re-employment and processing the file.
This came during his visit today, Wednesday (May 17, 2023), to the headquarters of the Ministry of Oil in the federal government in Baghdad, where he met with Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani.
During the meeting, a number of files and issues of common concern were discussed, in addition to discussing the ministry’s work and continuing efforts to provide services to citizens, according to a statement issued by Abdullah’s media office.
During his speech, the vice president stressed “the need to resolve the issue of the trainees of the North Oil Company in Kirkuk Governorate and give them justice,” while calling for establishing their rights in accordance with Cabinet Resolution (192) of 2021 for daily wages, re-employing them and addressing the file through communication and cooperation between the Ministries of Oil and Finance.
On the other hand, Abdullah pointed to “the importance of taking into account the balance and representation of all components of Kirkuk in positions and management of institutions and departments of the Ministry of Oil, and addressing the administrative and technical problems facing those departments.”
