Mubasher: The Casablanca Stock Exchange ended its trading today, Wednesday, with a decline in its main indices.
The MASI index declined by 0.25 percent, at 10,777.63 points, losing 26.98 points, from its dealings in the previous session.
The Morocco Index 20 index “MSI20” decreased by 0.6 percent to the level of 871.39 points, with a loss of 5.27 points.
The decline in the Casablanca Stock Exchange index came with a decrease in 7 sector indices, led by participation and real estate promotion by 3.82 percent, and a decline in engineering and industrial equipment by 2.93 percent.
On the other hand, 13 sectoral indices rose, led by the pharmaceutical industry by 5.28 percent, and oil and gas rose by 1.85 percent.
The value of trading during today’s session amounted to 98.21 million dirhams, and the share of Hitech Payment System got the largest share at a value of 31.46 million dirhams, followed by Maroc Telecom, achieving 9.25 million dirhams.
The market capital at the end of today’s trading amounted to 558.27 billion dirhams, of which Attijariwafa bank acquired 87.78 billion dirhams, followed by Maroc Telecom with a value of 73.84 billion dirhams.
Stroke Industry led the decliners by 5.97 percent, and Dji Al-Duha Resuscitation fell by 4.91 percent.
Sutima topped the list of gainers during today’s session by 5.93 percent, and Karti Saadeh’s share rose by 5.7 percent.
