Mamdouh El-Sherbiny, Executive Director of the Chamber of Handicrafts in the Federation of Egyptian Industries, received a delegation from the Chamber of Handicrafts in Casablanca “Settat” headed by Tawati Jallab Abdel Hadi, Chairman of the Foreign Relations, Partnerships and Cooperation Committee, Zakaria Madreka, Head of the Marketing Committee and Fortification of Handicraft Products, and Youssef Moirat, Head of the Chamber’s Regional Department. El Jadida, where the meeting discussed ways to support relations between the two parties and to support traditional craft industries between Egypt and the Kingdom of Morocco through the two chambers.
For his part, Mamdouh El-Sherbiny said that the meeting dealt with the establishment of a number of joint exhibitions between the two countries, while the two parties agreed to present a proposal for a joint memorandum of understanding between the two parties to the board of directors of the two sides during the coming period, indicating the desire of the Moroccan side to use Egyptian craftsmen to benefit from Egyptian craftsmen. In some products, the handicraft materials that are not exploited in Morocco to extract handicraft products will be marketed between the two countries during the next few period.
El-Sherbiny indicated that the agreements that will be implemented between the two parties are not new today, as the Handicrafts Chamber and its board of directors had previously agreed with Moroccan authorities to enhance means of cooperation between all parties to support handicrafts and traditional between the two countries, and to achieve benefit to support economic and trade relations between Egypt. And Morocco, pointing out that the Chamber’s board of directors aims to expand the circle of cooperation with all Arab countries and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries as a plan that has been developed since the election of the current board to expand the circle of benefiting Egyptian craftsmen, marketing Egyptian products, and creating job opportunities and various exhibitions between all countries, and Morocco is the first country that the Board of Directors seeks Chamber to support cooperation between them.
