The Zamalek club’s volleyball team will meet its counterpart, Green Buffalo, the Zambia champion, today, Thursday, in the framework of the quarter-finals of the African Club Championship held in Tunisia.
Yesterday, Wednesday, the men’s volleyball team of Zamalek Club defeated its Cameroonian counterpart CSV, 3/0, in the framework of the round of 16.
The men’s volleyball team of Zamalek club defeated its Tunisian counterpart, Marsa Al-Tunisia, with a score of 3/2, in the framework of its second confrontation in the African Championship. The Zamalek team succeeded in winning its first meeting against Naval of Nigeria, 3-0, on Saturday.
The delegation of the men’s volleyball team at Zamalek Club arrived in Tunisia last Wednesday, in preparation for the African Championship competitions, after winning the Egyptian Cup and the League recently.
The women’s team will also participate in the African Championship competitions after winning the Egyptian Cup title by defeating its Al-Ahly counterpart 3/1 in the framework of the second play-off confrontations in the Egyptian Cup final at the Youth and Sports Hall in October “Zewail”.
The first meeting witnessed the victory of Zamalek with a score of 3/1 last Monday in the same hall, and the play-off system gives the team that won two matches the title, and in the event of a tie, resort to a play-off match.
