
Dubai United Arab Emirates: The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy has intensified joint inspection campaigns on the domestic gas cylinder sector in various regions of Dubai, in cooperation with the joint field inspection team that was formed pursuant to Supreme Council of Energy Resolution No. 1 of 2022 dated June 29, 2022, which stipulates the prohibition of the distribution of cylinders LPG in the Emirate of Dubai unless it is filled in approved factories in the Emirate to ensure compliance with all standards and laws issued by local departments. The team includes members from Dubai Police, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, General Directorate of Civil Defense, Department of Economy and Tourism, Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Emirates Gas, and Emirates General Petroleum Corporation.

The campaign resulted in the monitoring of a number of violations related to the decision of the Supreme Council of Energy, and a number of violators were suspended for trading gas cylinders that violate and do not conform to UAE specifications, and legal measures have been taken in this regard.
