
A huge fire broke out inside a residential property, and due to the intensity of the flames, a mother tried to escape from it with her two children, and she rushed to get out of the property, and they rode the electric elevator, but it failed because the residents disconnected the electricity from the property to prevent the spread of the fire, so the woman and her two children were killed by suffocation in the Mokattam area.
The Cairo Rescue Operations Room received a report that a massive fire had broken out inside a residential property located in the Mokattam area.
Moving on, the Civil Protection Forces in Cairo sent fire trucks to try to control and extinguish the fire before it spread to neighboring properties. A security cordon was imposed around the area where the fire was located, and the fire was extinguished.
On examination, it was found that there was a corpse of a woman and her two children inside the elevators, and they were kept at the disposal of the Public Prosecution.
Through preliminary investigations, it was found that the woman tried to escape from the flames with her children, but she was killed by suffocation after the electric current was disconnected from the elevator, and the bodies were kept at the disposal of the Public Prosecution.
Efforts are being intensified to find out the circumstances of the incident to indicate whether or not there is a criminal suspicion, and the competent authorities have taken the necessary legal measures.
