Al-Ahly, led by Swiss Koehler, defeated its Tunisian counterpart, Esperance, with three unanswered goals in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

Shirts added, “We have not decided to qualify for the final, but beating a big team by three away goals is a big step that brings us closer to qualification.”
Shirts continued: “The technical staff of the team has studied the Esperance team in a distinguished way during the last period, and we will work to qualify in the return match, for which we are preparing strongly from tomorrow, to achieve a positive result and celebrate with our fans our qualification for the final.”

The return match between Al-Ahly and Taraji in the semi-finals of the African Champions League is scheduled to take place next Friday, May 19, 2023, at exactly 10:00 pm Cairo and Saudi Arabia time, on the floor of Cairo International Stadium.
