With a suicide weapon.. a video documenting the Ukrainian attack on a Russian refinery

The video, which appears to have been recorded from a smartphone, shows a suicide drone flying over the oil refinery before heading towards it and crashing into it, where a huge explosion occurred.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry said that the fire caused by the attack had been extinguished, confirming that no injuries were recorded.

On Wednesday, Russian media reported that a fire broke out in an oil refinery in the Rostov region, close to the border with Ukraine.

The news agency “TASS” quoted a local Source as saying that the fire broke out in the Novoshakhtinsk Refinery, after two Ukrainian drones were observed flying over the facility.

The Source added that one of the two planes collided with a heat transfer unit, and then the fire broke out. The other drone flew away.

This development comes days after reports that Ukrainian forces targeted oil platforms in the sea, off the Crimean peninsula.

After the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war on February 24, Moscow accused Kyiv of launching attacks on facilities inside its territory via aircraft of all kinds.

On the first of last April, Russia announced that it had suffered the first Ukrainian attack on a fuel storage facility in Belgorod, and said at the time that the attack was carried out by helicopters.

Kyiv says it has the right to launch attacks inside Russian territory, but it has not officially claimed attacks in those regions.
