A call is signed by a group of ultra-Orthodox communities calling itself “United Borough Park,” which calls for support for incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul, who is running for office again. The group includes the storks in Oboe, Belz, Satmar, Sanz-Klausenburg, Oboe 45, Gur, Vizhnitz, Popa, Svikra, Spinka, Rachmestrivka and more. The principals of Beit Yaakov, Bnei Chaya, Bnei Torah, Tomer Devorah, Wayne and other major schools also added their signatures.

A voice calls for Kathy Hochul’s answer

“During these critical and challenging times, it is important to have a sympathetic representation that we can continue to observe our religious observances without interruption. To keep our streets and neighborhoods safe and protected, and to see our needs treated with respect,” the statement said.

The leaders stressed that Katie Hochul was able to develop positive working relationships with the Jewish community and was proven to be a credible and sympathetic ally during her years in government.
