The US Central Command said that a failed missile attack targeted the US Army’s Green Village base in northeastern Syria, without causing human or material losses.
The command said in a press release that three 107 mm rockets targeted the base on Sunday, and a fourth missile with launch tubes was found at the launch point, about five kilometers away.
The Green Village base was targeted last month in confrontations between the US army and militants said to be backed by Iran, which resulted in at least one US soldier being slightly injured.
The incident provoked an American response, which resulted in the killing of two or three of the militants who carried out the attacks, according to the same Source.
The Central Command said that it is investigating the latest attack, which occurred around 7:05 pm local time in Syria (16:05 GMT), while no other details were provided until now.
