Gantz visited the Southern Command: the integration of arms between the IDF and Shin Bet

Defense Minister Benny Gantz visited the Southern Command today (Tuesday) along with Deputy Chief of Staff Colonel Amir Baram, Southern Command Commander Colonel Eliezer Toledano, Coordinator of Government Operations in the Territories Colonel Rasan Elian and Gaza Division Commander Brigadier General Avi Rosenfeld.

The Minister of Defense said that actions taken in the last two and a half years – both in the operative aspect, in the aspect of combining arms between the IDF and Shin Bet, and in the civilian aspect, have brought peace and raised the level of deterrence in the area.

Gantz emphasized the paramount importance of continuing the activity to adjust the protection in the home, to strengthen the protection of the borders and the protection of the camps, and to integrate into the national fight against crime within the framework of the “Defender of the Negev” program.

The Minister of Defense expressed his great appreciation to the commanders and soldiers, for the extensive activity in the arena.
